ProTier hilft den Tieren – praktisch, engagiert und unbürokratisch. Wir kümmern uns um Haustiere, wenn deren HalterInnen nicht mehr für sie sorgen können. Wir setzen uns für art- und tiergerechte Lebensbedingungen für Tiere ein. Wenn immer möglich suchen wir nach konkreten Möglichkeiten, resp. nach einer optimalen Lösung für Mensch und Tier. Die Aufnahme und der Unterhalt von Verzichts- und Findeltieren in unser Vertragstierheim und die tierärztliche Betreuung verschlingen grosse Summen. Diese aufzubringen ist nur möglich mit der finanziellen Unterstützung von Tierfreunden.
Tierschutz kennt keine Grenzen; wir beteiligen uns auch finanziell an internationalen Projekten, um Tiere vor Gleichgültigkeit und Profitsucht zu schützen.
Tiere sind Mitgeschöpfe, sie haben ein Recht auf ein artgerechtes Leben. Deshalb kämpfen wir gegen die industrielle Ausbeutung von Tier und Natur. Unsere Denk- und Handlungsweise basiert auf der ethischen Verantwortung für das einzelne Tier.
ProTier is committed to helping animals—in practical and unbureaucratic ways. We take care of pets whose owners can no longer do so. We fight to improve animals’ living conditions so they can live according to their natural needs and in a manner appropriate to their species. We work to provide practical options and best solutions for both animals and people wherever we can. The accommodation and care of homeless or unwanted animals in our contracting animal shelter and the provision of veterinary service swallow up large amounts of money. It is the financial support of animal lovers which allows us to provide these means.
Animal welfare does not stop at our borders: we also provide financial support to international projects to protect animals from indifference and the greed for profit.
Animals are our fellow creatures who have the right to live in harmony with their nature. This is why we fight against the commercial exploitation of animals and nature. Our way of thinking and acting is based on an ethical responsibility for the individual animal.
