Irish Anti-Vivisection Society
The Irish Anti-Vivisection Society (IAVS) campaigns peacefully for the total abolition of all animal experiments. Pending this we lobby the Department of Health, who licence vivisection in Ireland, for partial reform prohibiting the most severe procedures, decreasing the number and species of animals used and acceptance and development of research and testing techniques not involving animals.
The IAVS rejects illegal action and is committed to producing accurate literature and public statements.
